Rock cycle



The Rock Cycle is a group of changes. Igneous rock can change into sedimentary rock or into metamorphic rock. Sedimentary rock can change into metamorphic rock or into igneous rock Or, igneous rock can form above ground, where the magma cools quickly.

To make a building earthquake proof, put shear walls a shear core, and cross-bracing as it gives extra additional strength.


These are a list of things that make a home earthquake proof:
  • External walls are 6 inches thick. 
  • Steel bars on the inside of walls.
  • Reinforced concrete as the foundation.
  • Hard soil under the home.
  • Steel bars in the roof.

Yellowstone Caldera

Yellowstone The oldest identified caldera near McDermitt, Nevada–Oregon,  Yellowstone super-volcano is one of the most dynamic sites on earth, this volcano would be devastating for the United States as an estimated 87,000 people would be killed instantly and two-thirds of the U.S land would be destroyed

Experiment

Wind/Land Racer

Aim:
 -To build a design that will travel the longest in distance.

Research:

Equipment:
 -Cart, Tape, Scissors, String, Paper, Cardboard

Method:

  1. Attach the mast to the trolley.
  2. Attach the boom to the mast.
  3. Cut out the sail.
  4. Attach the sail to the mast and the boom.
